Dr. Jamal-Dominique HopkinsJamal-Dominique Hopkins was named Dean of Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary in 2019. He serves as the seminary's inaugural dean and is fast working toward the development of the school as a new theological institute for the 21st century. Dean Hopkins joins a world class and highly trained theological faculty who is passionately committed to theological education and service in the Christian church. Since his time at Dickerson-Green, he has worked with the faculty to convene the seminary's annual spring institutes and develop a chaplaincy track for the Master of Divinity degree. Dean Hopkins has also developed the Graduate Seminary Ambassadors - a graduate seminary student group that serve as peer mentors for incoming students and ambassadors for theological education. Additionally, he has established the Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary Fellows Program, which invites theological and religious scholars in both the church and academe to engage in the work of Christian scholarship and practice. Since Dean Hopkins' tenure, Dickerson-Green has rolled out its Master of Arts in Religious Studies and implemented numerous online and hybrid format courses. Dean Hopkins is excited about the work of theological education and establishing Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary as a training institution of choice for the larger body of Christian churches.
