Dr. Hembree is an Assistant Professor at Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary and teaches in the area of Pastoral Theology, Care and Counseling. His
scholarly research and interest examine the anthropological, psychological and theological dimensions found in traditional African religious thought and
culture, and the appropriateness of these resources for the field of pastoral care and counseling with the African American community. Specifically,
Dr. Hembree has developed a pastoral counseling method and practice for African American men, drawing upon the spiritual resources and teachings of the
Yoruba people of Nigeria, West Africa. Dr. Hembree is the co-author of You are the Jewel in the Stone: A Narrative Resource for the Theological Exploration Vocation (2004). Dr. Hembree is a member of the American Academy of Religion, the Society for the Study of Black Religion, the American Psychological
Association, and has served as Co-Chair of the Society for Pastoral Theology. In his leadership roles throughout is academic career, Dr. Hembree has also served on the following committees:

Dr. Amenti Sujai is Associate Professor of Church History at the Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary. Prior to her teaching position at Allen, she was Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion and Associate Director of the Center for Vocational Reflection at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC., and has also served as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Martin University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her research areas are in the following three areas: History of the Christian Church, Spirituality and Mysticism, and Black Feminist Theology and Ethics. Dr. Sujai serves as Mentor to DMin students, and has served on the following committees:

Dr. Alonzo Johnson is an Associate Professor of Theology at Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary. He teaches in the areas of systematic theology, theological anthropology, and ethics. His current courses include Introduction to Theological Education, Systematic Theology I, Systematic Theology II, Christian Ethics, What It Means to Be Human, The Theology of Howard Thurman, and Black Theology. His writing and scholarly interests encompass the following areas: Holiness-Pentecostalism, African American theology, Folk Religious Traditions, the Life and Theology of Howard Thurman, American Christianity, African and Afro-Caribbean Christian traditions, Pastoral Studies, and Leadership Studies. He is the author of Good News for the Disinherited and co-editor of Aint Gonna Lay My Ligion Down, and he is Chief Editor and Senior Contributing Author of the Standardized Ordination & Licensure Textbook of the Church Of God In Christ. He has been a leader in the Church of God in Christ on the national and jurisdictional levels, serving as an Assistant to the Bishop of South Carolina, the Senior Pastor of Universal Outreach Church, Irmo, SC, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Charles Harrison Mason Theological Seminary, Atlanta, GA. An active community leader, Dr. Johnson organized and is the Chairman of the Board of the Universal Community Improvement Organization (501 © (3), which does business as the Universal Leadership & STEAM Academy. Dr. McCauley, is currently the Chair of the Religion Department at Allen University. He is the senior pastor of St. Matthew AME Church, in Hamer, SC. Dr. McCauley has earned units of clinical pastoral education (CPE), from Palmetto Health, Columbia, SC., and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been a national board-certified chaplain, with the Association of Professional Chaplains (ACPE), since November, 2008. Dr. McCauley, is currently pursuing a PhD in educational psychology at Capella University.

Dr. Young currently serves as a Presiding Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Carolina. Prior to his appointment as Presiding Elder, he pastored AME congregations in Charleston and Columbia. He also served for fifteen years as a professor at Columbia International University where he taught Urban Church Planting, Introduction to the Church and Biblical Preaching.

Dr. Bennett previously served as dean of the C.H. Mason Seminary (part of the International Theological Seminary) has published books, commentaries, and several articles on issues in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament studies and Ethics.
He has presented papers on Africentric Biblical Hermeneutics during the annual meetings of the Society of Biblical Literature and served as the program chair for the section on Biblical theology in the International Society of Biblical Literature. Dr. Bennett has served as a co-coordinator of the Benjamin E. Mays Institute at Morehouse College and as a lecturer in the Black Women and Society Institute at the Interdenominational Theological Center. |

Dr. Majors has been online teaching at Dickerson-Green Seminary since 2020. He also teaches online at Good News Seminary, in Tracy, California. He has taught at International Seminary, in Los Angeles, California, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, in Rochester, New York,. and School of Urban Missions, in Oakland, California. Dr. Majors planted New Beginnings Community Church, in Oakland, California, in 2002, and has served there as pastor for 21 years. He compiled a book titled, The Little Man with the Big Heart: Lectures from the late Dr. Manuel Scott, Sr, on the State of Evangelism in the Black Church. He is currently writing a book to be published in 2023 titled: Contributions Africans made in the Development of Christianity.
